Squad Assessments: England Win Secured by Kane's Brace in World Cup Qualifier

Throughout a commanding showing, the English national team secured one more win against their opponents, with a number of players turning in standout performances throughout the game.

John Stones Moved forward when in possession, as he has done in the past. On occasion was too casual on the ball with the experiment was shelved at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is an alternative to Stones at the back rather than alongside him. One wayward pass later in the match nearly resulted in the first goal for Albania. 6

The young full-back Another assured display from the 20-year-old after his first cap against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the most of a clever flick behind their defense. The role is his to lose at this stage. Seven

Adam Wharton A debut start in an England shirt. Somewhat careless on the ball however his dangerous corners caused problems. A handy tempo-setter for the manager to call upon against sides that sit back. Cautioned after a reckless challenge. 6/10

Declan Rice Deliveries from corners and set-plays caused problems. Had room to move in left midfield but was in an offside position when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Given a merited break on the hour mark. Six

Jude Bellingham Played in an advanced position out wide and also contributed with the hard yards. Displayed glimpses of brilliance but mishit an attempt high. Withdrawn in the closing stages for Rogers, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Had the team's top opening of the first half, his shot well saved by the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate staying deep, he had to provide width on the right although his balls from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6

The captain The match-winner scoring 77th and 78th strikes in an England shirt. The first a typical poacher’s finish and the second an excellent headed goal after peeling away away from the opposition. At 32, he’s only getting better and the side have every chance next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Had a presentable chance following a pass by Bellingham however the keeper kept it out. Rashford produced a bigger effect in his place. Five
